How are your prints made?
My Limited Edition prints are made on an Epson Stylus 1400 printer. This printer uses six colors of Claria™ Hi-Definition dye instead of standard ink. This creates prints, that when mounted behind glass, will last for up to 98 years. Prints stored in an album will last for up to 200 years. These prints are made on Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper for the best possible print quality.
Open edition prints (Giclees on canvas, and metal prints) are done by commercial printers.
What print sizes are available?
The prints that I make are available in 13″ x 19″. Giclees and metal prints are 14″ x 21″.
Are your Limited Edition prints archival?
Yes, my Limited Editions prints are archival. I strive to give you the most beautiful image possible. I make each print myself on an Epson Stylus 1400 printer, which uses six colors of Claria™ Hi-Definition dye instead of standard ink. This creates vivid prints, that when mounted behind glass, will last for up to 98 years. Prints stored in an archival album will last for up to 200 years. I give you a print that will provide you with years of pleasure, and an heirloom that you can pass on to future generations.
These prints are made on Epson Ultra Premium Luster paper for the best possible print quality. The luster finish is a semi-gloss finish, which cuts down on glare when viewing so you can easily see all the details of the photograph.
Are your prints in any galleries?
Yes, you can see my prints at: The New State Motor Building Coop, 110 Main St., Jerome, Arizona. The coop is across the street from Grapes Restaurant, and down the stairs. It’s open 7 days a week, from 9:00 – 4:30.
Jerome has an Art Walk on the first Saturday of every month from 5:00 – 8:00. I’m usually there with my photographs, and anxious to meet you and answer your questions.
I can’t find the image on your site that I’m looking for.
Contact me at info@JeffColburn.com and I’ll let you know if it’s on the website, in my archives, being prepared for the website or if I’m planning on photographing it in the near future.
How can I use your photographs for stock use?
The photographs on this site can be used for a variety of editorial and commercial projects, including:
- Broadcast video
- Business cards
- Business letterhead
- Multimedia presentations
- Packaging / Labels
- Trade Show displays
- And any other project that can be enhanced with photographs.
To order stock photographs, write down the images name or number, and go to the Stock Order page.
Why should I use stock photography?
Stock photography offers several advantages over hiring a photographer:
- You can see the photographs before you buy, so you know exactly what they look like. This is much less stressful than spending hours interviewing photographers and deciding which one to hire. Then hoping they are as professional and competent as they say they are.
- You don’t have the stress of hiring a photographer, and hoping they can get the images you need.
- You don’t have to worry if the weather will ruin the chance to get the photograph you need before your deadline arrives. Try finding blooming flowers in the winter, or a snowy scene in July.
- You won’t miss a deadline, because the photographs are done and ready to go.
If I buy your photograph(s), do I own the copyright?
No, the copyright stays with Jeff Colburn. You are only allowed to use the print for your own personal use. You can not sell license the use of any image to another person.
If I modify a photograph, can I claim copyright to that photograph?
How long does it take to deliver the print(s) after I’ve paid for them?
I will get the prints to you as soon as possible, but I make each print as it’s ordered. Allow two to three weeks for delivery.
When can you be contacted?
Go to my Contact and Bio page. I check my e-mails daily during the week, and once on the weekends.
Do you charge sales tax?
Do you have more photographs than you show on your website?
