Hi Everyone,

I’ve always found Love Locks to be an interesting expression of love. This photo was taken in Prescott, Arizona. But I also found them at the Long Beach Wharf, California. I’m always amazed at the number and variety of locks on these walls and fences. Some are standard padlocks, while others are custom engraved works of art.

In Italy, Love Locks, or “lucchetti d’amore,” are very popular in many cities. In fact, the weight of the ever growing number of locks can become so great, that they can damage the bridge they are on. Because of this, the city will cut the locks off one or more times each year.
